Creating the world’s finest boxing gloves hasn’t been easy, but it has been rewarding.
In 2014, my family and I moved back to the US after living in Dubai for 9 years as a military instructor. I’d been importing boxing gloves as a side gig for a few years, and wanted to continue after we returned to the US. However, my frustration from trying to create an original, high quality imported glove quickly led me to believe that, even though the knowledge of glove making had left the US years before, I could carve a niche making elite level boxing gloves, as long as the quality was superb, their functionality was confirmed through repeated testing, and the price point could support doing it full time. Thus began my quest of learning the glove making process, and within a year I was making gloves good enough to sell. Fast forward 12 years and almost 2,000 pairs later, and it’s fair to say that I’ve reached a very high level of capability, and the product reflects it.
Beyond the quality and craftsmanship my gloves are known for, the most critical factor in 1v1’s success has been my excellent relationships with customers, which as hundreds of them will testify, is extremely unusual in this industry. I’m the one that picks up the phone when you call, and I will make time to hear your story, discuss your needs, and work with you to find the best equipment solution. I fully understand that the money you spend with 1v1 is not easily come by, so I want there to be real value in your purchase that you feel and believe every single time you slip on 1v1 gloves, whether they were made in my shop or imported from my thoroughly vetted and tested overseas manufacturer for the ARK-1 line of imported equipment.
